Tournament Rules & Settings

Tournament Rules

- No glitching in any form
- Keep things clean play the game how its meant to be played
- if a player disconnects it is upto the team to send the player an invite back into the game
- if the game becomes unstable/laggy an alternate host should be chosen
- points will be deducted from the team if teams are found cheating or glitching in any form
- No use of modded controllers in this event, if teams are found using modified controllers they will be immediatly removed from the tournament

Group Settings

Home and Away Fixtures are played in each group
The Home team is deemed the host
Win = 3pts, Loss = 0pts
Gamemodes can be selected: Team Deathmatch, Search & Destroy, Domination, Sabotage and their Hardcore variants, no other gamemode to be chosen.
Fixtures are selected by the Tournament admin so home and away matches are not played after one another.

Fixture Settings

The Home team is the host of the fixture
Team Size: 4v4
The Home Team must have a stable connection for the host
A lagg test must be done before every match: lagg test for 2 minutes
Each fixture will be the best of 5 maps
2 maps chosen by each clan
gametypes are selected along with map choices
Decider map and gametype chosen by the Home team.

Radar Always On : Disabled
Max Health : Normal
Health Regeneration : Normal

Headshots Only : Disabled
Allow Perks : Enabled
Allow Air Support : Enabled
Number of Lives : Unlimited
Join in Progress : Not Allowed
Old School Mode : Disabled
Hardcore Mode : Disabled (Enabled only if the clan selects this gametype)

Team Deathmatch & Hardcore TDM

Time Limit: 10 minutes
Score Limit: 750 points

Search & Destroy & Hardcore S&D

Time Limit: 3 Minutes
Bomb Timer: 45 Seconds
Number of Lives: 1 Life
Plant Time: 7.5 Seconds
Defuse Time: 7.5 Seconds
Multi Bomb: Disabled
Score Limit: 4 Points
Round Switch: Every Round
Spectator: Team Only

Sabotage & Hardcore Sabotage

Time Limit: 10 Minutes
Bomb Timer: 30 Seconds
Plant Time: 5 Seconds
Respawn Delay: 7.5 Seconds
Defuse Time: 5 Seconds
Shared Bomb Timer: No
Score Limit: 1
Round Switch: Never

Domination & Hardcore Domination

Time Limit: 10 Minutes
Score Limit: Unlimited
Respawn Delay: 5 Seconds

Unsure of the team sizes at this time still creating forums for it etc so it should be ready for signups sometime tomorrow but it is an invite only tournament so maybe there would be an invite coming your way. most likely would be 4v4 to minimise lag in matches.

Gamebattles rules for the glitches


Since this tournament is using the rules on gamebattles it will also be using the settings to determine glitches in games too so please read this before you go into the knockout stages so you are all aware what a glitch is and what not a glitch is.

Updated Rules for Call of Duty 4

These new rules are in effect starting March 26th, 2008. It is the responsibility of ALL users on this ladder to know and understand all of the rules on the staff page.

There are a few rules that have significantly changed that alter how games on this ladder will be played.

Consecutive Teamkilling/Suicide's = Forfeit of a map

Deliberately team-killing or committing suicide on purpose during Team Deathmatch will result in a forfeit of the map.

If you are playing a match and a team is doing this on a TDM Match only you must do the following:

A) Record this team doing this. Admin's need really good proof so if your video quality is not good enough for us to see please do not bother submitting it. Photo's will not help you in this situation so please do not submit that.

B) Contact a Referee and they will try to help you with your issue.

Remember this is only for consecutive Teamkilling/Suicide when a team is trying to get a cheap win because they got one or tw

No Shows

- Rule number 2 specifically says you must show up with the indicated amount of eligible players for the match. If you do not show up with the correct amount of players you will forfeit.

- Rule number 3 says in order to receive a no show win (without a ref present), you must submit a ticket within 45 minutes of the schedule match time. You must report that your team won this match also.

Matches

- Rule number 2 says that the higher ranked team will host the first map.

- Rule number 3 says that the higher ranked team at match time will host the first map. The lower ranked team at match time will host the second map. This will alternate for each map if/until a tie breaker map is needed. If a tie breaker map is needed, the lower ranked team will host the final map.

- Rule number 7 says if host disconnects after the game has started, the host’s team forfeits the map.

- Rule number 9 says if a player disconnects during a team deathmatch, that team will forfeit the map.

- Rule number 10 says before you start a new map, both teams must find eligible substitutes so that they meet the number of players required by the match details. You CANNOT start the next map without the correct number of players.

Every user needs to read the entire rules page to grasp a full understanding of the way the game is supposed to be played on this ladder.

CONFIRMED GLITCH - PIPELINE

A glitch on Pipeline has been brought to our attention and I wanted to let everyone know that abusing this glitch in-game will result in immediate forfeit of the match and possible banning as cheating is not tolerated. Here is a clip of what the glitch looks like so you can be sure to NOT use it in a match. Also, as always, if you accuse someone of using this glitch, you MUST provide proof of the glitch being used.

Anyone caught using this glitch will forfeit the match and will risk being banned. This includes using it during regular matches and in playoff matches. This is a clear abuse of in-game mechanics and is not tolerated.

CONFIRMED GLITCH - GOD MODE

Anyone caught using the below glitch will forfeit the match and risk being banned. I do not know how helpful it even is because you are obviously stuck in last stand. However, this is a glitch.

CONFIRMED GLITCHES

Any use of RPG's to assist you to get to anywhere on the map you normally cannot get to by jumping is a glitch.

CONFIRMED GLITCHES - Fake C4

On Sabotage and Search and Destroy, when you plant the bomb on these gametypes and leave a blank C4 on the bomb this is considered a glitch and if caught doing this you will forfeit the entire match.

CONFIRMED GLITCHES - FAKING PRONE

This has recently been added to the rules, but we will also add it here. Faking the prone position is considered abusing the in-game mechanics. Faking the prone position is defined as anytime you lie down behind an object where you can see over the object, but you are seen as laying down by your opponents. Teams found abusing this rule are subject to forfeit of the match. Valid proof will need to be submitted after the match is completed. Breaking this rule in any illegal locations will result in an automatic forfeit.

NOT A GLITCH

1. The roof on Overgrown is not a glitch
2. The boxes on Wetworks are not a glitch
3. The roofs on Crash are not a glitch
4. The boxes or tank on Bog are not a glitch
5. The archway and market on District are not a glitch
6. Planting the bomb outside the crate is not a glitch.
7. The rooftops on Ambush are not a glitch.
