Tournament Information
Welcome to the XGL Call of Duty: MW2 Clan Tournament. We will welcome in 2010 with this big 32 clan event and will hopefully kickstart many tournaments to come for the call of duty clans. This event is a Clan Knockout Tournament where the aim of the event is to win your matches and progress through each tournament round. There will be 32 clans participating in this event so it won't be a smooth ride for any clan that participates in this tournament. This event is aimed for the clans to compete against other well known friendly clans and also allows the chance to meet new clans and gain new contacts for future matches.
The Gamemode selections in this Tournament is Team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy on the CORE mode, their are not many clans that support HC to justify a tournament of this capacity. Their will be HOME and AWAY matches for each fixture to allow clans a chance to progress with their clan hosting a fixture. The Home and Away Fixtures will be for Rounds 1 and 2 only then the fixtures will be 1 match only from the quarter final stages to the Final.
Sponsoring XGL Events
XGL are hosting events on a frequent basis and so this would open the door to any possible sponsorship and provide prizes to our event winners. Their will be advertising throughout the duration of the event along with a sub forum to advertise the sponsor services. We look for any potential sponsors that are suitable towards the events we create so anything Xbox related would benefit from the sponsorship of these events.
We are currently on the lookout to gain a sponsor for this event and allow a sponsorship advertising campaign throughout the duration of this tournament,contact Potleg on the forums to sponsor any of our upcoming events.
Tournament Rules
- No glitching in any form (including turbo pads)
- Keep things clean play the game how its meant to be played
- if a player disconnects it is upto the team to send the player an invite back into the game
- if the game becomes unstable/laggy an alternate host should be chosen
Tournament Settings
Each fixture will be 1 match only, we have decided not to go with the home and away fixtures due to the scale of the tournament and would take many weeks to finish the tournament, The team who is listed first in the fixture is deemed the HOME team and the host of the match, the home team also selects a decider if it comes to that which is the advantage of being a home team. The HOME team hosts the two TDM map selections and the AWAY team hosts the S&D map selections.
Match Settings
Team Size: 5v5
x2 Maps Team Deathmatch (1 map selection per clan)
x2 Maps Search & Destroy (1 map selection per clan)
Home Team hosts the TDM Maps
Away Team hosts the S&D Maps
Decider: Selected by the HOME team (both gamemode and map selection)
Only TDM or S&D gamemodes can be selected for the Decider
Class Restrictions: No Akimbo Classes
Killstreak Restrictions: No Care Packages, No Turrets
Weapon Restrictions: No Noob Tubes, No Javelins,No Thumpers
Any other type of rocket launcher to be used only to take down choppers or other killstreak bonuses and not in battle agaisnt the other teams players.
Everything else not listed in the restrictions can be used in the matches.
A lag test must be performed before the start of the match to check that the host connection is good enough. If it is not a new host must be found.
Tournament Deadlines
All matches must be played by the end of the deadline day at the latest before the next round fixtures can be organised
Round 1: Sunday 7th of February - Monday 15th of February
Round 2: Sunday 14th of February - Monday 22nd of February
Quarter Final: Sunday 21st of February - Monday 1st of March
Semi Final: Tuesday 2nd of March or Wednesday 3rd of March
Final: Thursday 4th of March
The Tournament Final will have a neutral host that would be spectating the match and they would also be recording the match preferably,they will be announced closer to the time of the final.
when signing up your clan to the event copy the template provided in the team signup area and paste your clans information in the template, clans will have a set roster of 5 players with sub places open to anyone in the clans, the Clans would need to list their primery team of 4 players along with a link to their clan roster so we can identify any members who play in the matches to be registered members of the clans playing.
This Tournament is invite only as we invite only the clans that we know would be dedicated throughout the event and also compete to a good standard, if you feel your clan deserves an invite to this event pm Potleg on these forums.
Entered Clans
the sub place is for a clan to signup and join the tournament if a clan decides to drop from the tournament. Good Luck to All Participating Clans and see you at the end of the month.
