in my bid to get to know you all a little better. what do you do for a living.
i work for a high tech security company. the part i work in is monitoring lone workers ie ( on call doctors/social workers/ basically anyone who works by thereselves.)
what happens is the lone worker has a device which you can see here

if they feel threatened or are getting attacked they press the button on the back which comes through on the pc that i am sat at as an audio file i listen in and then take appropriate action.
its an interesting job 97% of alarms are false where someone has sat on it or knocked it but they are more funny as ive heard someone have a banging shit which i had to listen to on pc then phone the person to tell them they had to reset their alarm haha
i work 12 hour shifts days and nights always 6:30-6:30 starts and finishes
my schedule is

M-Days
T-Days
W-D/O
T-D/O
F-Nights
S-Nights
S-Nights
Week Two
M-D/O
T-D/O
W-Days
T-Days
F-D/O
S-D/O
S-D/O
then just change days for nights for the next 2 week lol
ive heard some bad things though like a man being beaten by a group of people.. someone trying to kill themselves.. and a woman having her baby taken away from her
